TeacherAI is built for classrooms. That means our privacy posture has to be stricter than a consumer product, not looser. This page summarises the commitments behind that.
What we collect
Account data (email, name, school), classroom data (rosters, assignments, submissions), and usage data (which tools you use, how often). We do not collect more than we need to run the product.
Student data
Student data is treated as the school's data, used only to provide the service to the teacher and school. We never sell student data. We never use student data to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. We're FERPA-compliant and offer EU/UK data residency on paid plans.
AI providers
We route prompts to vetted AI providers under data-processing agreements that prohibit training on submitted content. The full provider list is available on request.
Your rights
You can export or delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. School admins can request bulk deletion. We respond to verifiable deletion requests within 30 days.
